Job summary

KLX Energy Services LLC in Odessa, TX, seeks a Wireline Field Engineer to supervise on-site wireline operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and high-quality logging, perforating, and conveyance services. You will coordinate with customers and field crews to plan and execute complex wellsite tasks.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and training of personnel, with strict adherence to HSE policies and routine travel as needed to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Employee Possessor issued by the ATF
• Satisfactory driving record per Company policies
• Ability to communicate with both written and verbal forms
• Effective leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site operations for wireline services ensuring safety, efficiency and quality assurance
• Coordinate with customer representatives, rig crew and field support staff; prepare and complete logs per customer requirements
• Plan and coordinate operations using technical expertise to determine equipment needs and usage
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all equipment on-site and train personnel accordingly
• Promote the company’s HSE program and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Conduct pre- and post-job safety meetings and verify equipment inspections
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive job documentation including field tickets and reports
• Train personnel to ensure proper operation and SOP compliance
• Maintain FMCSA logging requirements as a CDL or non-CDL operator while crossing state lines
• Other duties as assigned
