Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure wireless and wired networks at client sites in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You will configure Cisco WLCs, APs, and related infrastructure, and conduct RF site surveys to ensure optimal coverage.

The role requires 3–5 years of enterprise experience and CCNP or in progress. On-site work, standard hours with occasional after-hours.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years designing and deploying enterprise wireless and wired networks.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco wireless platforms, controllers, and APs.
• Experience with RF planning and site surveys.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deploy scalable wireless and wired networks.
• Configure and maintain Cisco WLCs, APs, and related infrastructure.
• Perform wireless surveys and RF analysis using Ekahau.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot outages with Wireshark and Cisco tools.
• Implement security controls including ISE and NAC.
• Diagnose issues and optimize network performance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align with business needs.
• Document findings and communicate resolutions to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with 802.11 standards.
