Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale wind projects across the United States. This onsite, traveling role collaborates with field teams, subcontractors and senior leadership to keep projects on time and within budget while learning the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through close-out.

The role involves up to 100% travel, 8–16 months per project, per diem, a vehicle allowance, and a rotation program with routine site travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of Solar or EPC construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering studies and change order requests.
• Coordinate with engineers and estimating on projects.
• Manage submittals and RFIs and respond to technical questions in planning stages.
• Develop and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Track job costs and forecast monthly revenue streams.
• Oversee QA/QC on projects and resolve contract disputes with the Owner.
• Maintain prime contract with Owner or Client and monthly billing procedures.
• Review cost components and approve subcontractor invoices for payment.
• Issue change orders and initiate all monthly progress payments.
