Job summary

TSMC is seeking a Water Technician in Phoenix, AZ to operate and maintain ultrapure water, cooling water, and industrial waste treatment systems. Responsibilities include following procedures, testing samples, and diagnosing issues to keep operations within specification.

The role requires high school education and preferably technical training, with extensive safety and teamwork expectations. Work is onsite in Phoenix with potential overtime; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED is required.
• Technical College or Trade Program is preferred.
• Experience with laboratory or analytical equipment is preferred.
• Previous knowledge in operation of industrial and/or commercial processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Ultrapure Water systems, Process Cooling Water and Industrial Waste treatment equipment.
• Read and measure plant operating parameters to determine process changes.
• Follow standard operating procedures for chemical reactions and perform laboratory tests.
• Maintain log of gauge readings, shift throughput, and equipment malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose issues to keep systems within specifications.
• Conduct sampling and tests to ensure process output matches plant standards.
