Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Civil/Mechanical Construction Inspector to join our Water Construction Management Team in San Diego. This on-site, part-time as needed (PTAN) role watches over public works construction to ensure compliance with contract documents and approved submittals.

Responsibilities include documenting deliveries, progress, and change orders while ensuring safety and coordination with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience inspecting and/or constructing pipelines, structures, grading, underground utilities, landscaping and irrigation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, RFIs, and submittals to verify material and construction compliance.
• Document material deliveries and verify conformity with submittals.
• Observe work progress and document for schedule updates and payment applications.
• Assist with change orders and punch list items; confirm closure.
