North Carolina State University is seeking an Onsite Wastewater Specialist to lead statewide Extension training for certification and continuing education. The role involves teaching at Lake Wheeler and other locations, coordinating programs, and ensuring safe land application of biosolids while protecting public health.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Soil Science or related field, strong communication and teaching skills, and the ability to develop practical training materials for Extension

Formación

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver hands-on training programs.
• Knowledge of soils and on-site wastewater systems in NC.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, schedule, and teach certification schools and workshops for on-site wastewater professionals across NC.
• Deliver instruction on system design, installation, operation, and land application of residuals.
• Help organize the NC Onsite Treatment Conference and coordinate logistics with planning teams.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and use results to improve course content and delivery.
