Job summary

Purdue University Fort Wayne is seeking a full-time, on-site Warehouse Laborer and Operations Clerk in the Warehouse Operations division. This role blends physical warehouse tasks with administrative duties, including processing and delivering campus mail and packages.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate a forklift (certification within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years minimum experience in receiving/distribution docks, warehousing, or related environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with university staff, vendors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Receive campus, US, certified, freight, and vendor mail and packages.
• Complete documentation and inspect items for damages.
• Maintain records of parcels and certified mail received.
• Sort mail and packages by department/building/recipient.
• Deliver mail within buildings and to campus mail routes.
• Operate pallet jack and/or forklift as needed for warehouse duties.
• Maintain knowledge of USPS mailing and packaging regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
