Job summary

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring an Operations Manager in Pensacola, FL to oversee warehouse and transportation operations within the district. The role includes planning daily workloads, managing inventory and fleet assets, and driving efficiency while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution management.
• Strong understanding of logistics, safety, and compliance standards.
• Able to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operational Planning: plan and adjust daily workload for warehouse and delivery teams to meet demands, audits, cycle counts, and safety compliance.
• Routing, Scheduling & Dispatching: schedule deliveries and labor hours, ensure routing software KPIs are met, provide real-time support.
• Team Leadership: coach, train, and motivate staff; drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Interviewing and Onboarding: recruit, onboard, and train warehouse and delivery personnel; provide coaching.
• Inventory and Asset Management: oversee inventory accuracy and movement, ensure location goals.
• Fleet and Equipment Oversight: ensure vehicle inspections and DOT compliance; coordinate maintenance and service.
• Budgeting, Forecasting and Cost Control: manage costs to meet EBIT forecasts; plan with leadership.
• Safety and Compliance: lead safety initiatives and audits; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Customer Service and Issue Resolution: escalate customer issues and coordinate with teams.
• Administrative Duties: payroll and reporting; track KPIs for decision-making.
• Project Management: lead warehouse improvement projects; layout optimization and reorganization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: align with sales, asset management, and customer service.
