Job summary

Janitza North America, the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, seeks a Warehouse Associate in Ashburn, VA. You will receive, verify, and ship materials, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate SAP records while following safety procedures.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or with a team, and effective communication. Regular Monday–Friday onsite schedule with occasional travel for inventory counts; physical stamina to lift up to 50–75

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material-handling experience.
• Experience with shipping documentation, freight preparation, and carrier coordination.
• Experience handling and tracking physical inventory.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to enter and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, electric stackers, and barcode scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving, inventory, and order processing.
• Effective communication skills in English across in-person, phone, and email interactions.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively within a team.
• General understanding of warehouse safety practices, policies, and procedures.
• Comfort climbing and working at various heights using ladders or step stools.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and products, verify quantities and condition, and complete required receiving transactions and documentation.
• Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders accurately and within required timelines.
• Perform material movements and inventory transactions in SAP while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Store and organize materials using established warehouse locations, labeling, FIFO, and inventory control procedures.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, and investigation of discrepancies.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, excess, or incorrectly identified materials to support inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric stackers, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely, as authorized and trained.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment and follow all applicable company safety procedures.
• Communicate shipment status, inventory discrepancies, damaged or missing materials, order requirements, and other issues that may affect customer or internal service levels.
• Coordinate routine shipping and documentation matters with freight carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, third-party logistics providers, and warehouse partners as needed.
• Assist with annual and periodic physical inventory counts, including infrequent travel to other company warehouse locations.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
