Job summary

Kore.ai is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Support & DevOps Engineer specializing in VoIP/SIP to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade VoIP systems in multi-cloud environments. You will ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include designing VoIP infrastructure, on-call support, automating deployments with Jenkins/Ansible, and maintaining Linux servers. Onsite work at Irving, TX is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years hands-on VoIP Systems Engineer experience.
• Proficient with FreeSWITCH configuration, dialplan, deployment.
• Experience with Asterisk, FreePBX, Vicidial and IVR platform administration.
• Deep understanding of SIP and RTP; signaling flow analysis.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP for cloud VoIP deployments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Proficiency with Wireshark and Tcpdump for network analysis.
• Experience with Ansible and Jenkins for CM & CI/CD.
• Shell scripting proficiency for automation.
• Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience configuring PRI Cards/Gateways/ PSTN connectivity.
• Willing to work onsite in Irving, TX and outside core hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP infrastructure using FreeSWITCH, RTPengine, Asterisk, FreePBX, Vicidial, and IVR platforms.
• Configure FreeSWITCH for new product deployments and enterprise onboarding.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and horizontal scalability of VoIP services.
• Manage PRI Cards, PRI Gateways, Analog Gateways, and PSTN connectivity.
• Deploy and manage VoIP systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP; optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible for automated deployments.
• Author and maintain Shell scripts for operational automation.
• Administer Linux servers hosting VoIP services; monitor performance and tune configurations.
• Troubleshoot OS-level issues affecting voice quality and latency.
• Apply OS hardening, patch management, and security best practices.
• Diagnose SIP/RTP issues and perform root cause analysis (Wireshark/Tcpdump).
• Collaborate with Platform Eng, Release, InfoSec, and enterprise teams.
