Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply seeks a VMI Specialist to be on-site with a major customer project for 3–4 years. You will own inventory, manage replenishment, and coordinate with the customer’s team to keep material flowing.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm. You’ll maintain accuracy, track fill rate, and ensure service levels, while representing Shepherd professionally on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in VMI, warehousing, inventory, or logistics.
• Strong communication skills and professional presence.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and Excel.
• DOT physical certificate required or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to commit to a multi-year site project.

Responsibilities

• Own on-site inventory accuracy and organization.
• Replenish material ahead of demand and coordinate with branches.
• Serve as primary on-site point of contact with the customer.
• Maintain safety and organization of storage areas.
• Monitor performance metrics and report on service levels.
