Job summary

TGW Logistics in Kansas City is looking for a mid-level Controls Commissioning Engineer. In this role, you will design and integrate control systems for industrial solutions, traveling frequently to customer sites for commissioning activities.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a Controls-related field and 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Controls Engineering. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive pay structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Two to four years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience, preferably in material-handling.
• Ability to travel 80% – 90%, domestically and internationally.
• Thorough knowledge of PLCs and HMI systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design, development, and commissioning of control systems.
• Writes and debugs PLC code and HMI applications.
• Integrates control systems with sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
• Conducts in-house emulation testing.
• Provides support for installed systems and performs preventative maintenance.
