Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support our Palmdale, CA tooling department on a 12 month contract. The role is on-site with pay in the $45–$55 hourly range, W-2 employment.

Responsibilities include coordinating tool design with customers, developing test plans, and driving process improvements to ensure manufacturability. The candidate should have 3+ years of CATIA design experience, GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with ANSI/ISO standards, plus strong communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ISO standards and Detailed Drawing Requirements.
• Strong capability in GD&T usage to apply drawing rules.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with ability to manage technical details.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Evaluate process improvements and assist product development for manufacturability.
• Develop manufacturing processes and procedures for tool fabrication and shop planning.
• Manage all phases of projects: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
