Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks a Tooling Engineer to support our Palmdale, CA shop for a 12-month contract. This on-site role requires hands-on design and fabrication coordination of tooling and fixtures, and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

The candidate will apply Catia for 3D modeling, ensure GD&T compliance with ANSI/ISO standards, and help develop process improvements while guiding product manufacturability and test plans from design through validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ISO drawing standards and GD&T.
• Experience in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to manage technical details.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers.
• Coordinate, develop & execute test plans.
• Develop & evaluate process improvements.
• Assist Product Development with manufacturability, validate process/tech.
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans and procedures for tool fabrication.
• Manage all project phases from design to validation.
