Job summary

Intel is seeking an Install Qualification Operation Specialist in Hillsboro, Oregon to drive tool installation, readiness, and qualification from pre-design through SL2 signoff. The role requires five days per week onsite and tight coordination with manufacturing, design, construction, OEMs, trade contractors, and supplier partners.

Key duties include managing install milestones, testing, and facility readiness; leading cross-functional design reviews; and ensuring cleanroom and site protocol

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field or equivalent.
• Associate degree with 2+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or PM roles.
• 3+ years in PM or equipment/tool ownership roles.

Responsibilities

• Own key tool install, conversion and de-installation milestones including set, rigging, placement, scope planning, hook up, energization, decontamination and de-installation.
• Support troubleshooting for Supplier Qual and Intel Qual to quickly resolve issues.
• Drive micro schedule and pull plan development to support tool install milestones.
• Manage decoupled construction paths SET/SL2 to accelerate readiness.
• Coordinate testing and facility readiness (LSS, eFIT, TAB, networking, ESOPN).
• Lead multi supplier coordination meetings and execution planning sessions.
• Translate technical/business requirements into actionable plans and schedules.
• Forecast equipment and resource needs.
• Ensure readiness and prompt delivery of tools, prefac kits, global, and parts.
• Coordinate equipment decon and deinstall activities.
• Manage OEMs and third-party vendors to achieve best-in-class qual durations.
• Drive early vendor enablement and facility readiness using ESOPN.
• Ensure clean handoff from construction completion to vendor qual finish.
• Oversee contractor and supplier activities in accordance with SLAs.
• Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce install durations, and improve quality.
• Document and share lessons learned across modules and sites.
• Influence tool install methods through innovation and BKMs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field

Associate's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 2+ years of experience in related to semiconductor manufacturing, Project Management, as Equipment/Engineering Tool Owner, or equivalent installation/qualification/demo/maintenance technician experience

3+ years of experience in Project Management, as Equipment/Engineering Tool Owner, or equivalent installation/qualification/demo/maintenance technician experience
