Job summary

ABB is seeking a Tool & Stamping Die Design Engineer to lead the design and development of high-precision progressive stamping dies and related tooling. You will apply advanced materials knowledge and manufacturing expertise to improve performance, quality, and cost throughout the tool lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering or manufacturing background required; 5+ years Tool & Die experience preferred
• Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with progressive stamping dies, lamination dies, and metal forming processes

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex stamping dies (progressive, transfer, draw) using CAD tools.
• Perform tooling analyses to optimize performance, quality, durability, and cost.
• Manage tooling projects end-to-end from concept through launch with stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide production support while ensuring documentation standards.
