Job summary

ABB is seeking a Tool & Die Design Engineer to lead the design of progressive and deep-draw stamping dies, including transfer and draw dies, for high-precision metal forming. You will drive CAD models, strip layouts, and complete tooling documentation, applying GD&T and manufacturing know-how.

Responsibilities include project leadership from concept through launch, engineering analysis, continuous improvement, and mentoring of technical staff to meet performance, quality, and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with progressive stamping operations and carbide lamination dies.
• Strong CAD skills and tooling documentation.
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming and die design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex stamping dies (progressive, transfer, draw).
• Perform calculations to optimize tooling for performance and cost.
• Manage tooling projects end-to-end, with risk management and stakeholder coordination.
• Mentor teams and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
