Job summary

Crystal Stairs, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer for Stage One to develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms, and training resources.

You will translate complex regulatory and program information into clear guidance for staff and end users, ensuring accuracy and compliance across documents. The role requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), at least four years in technical writing, and strong editing, information design, and interview skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related technical writing.
• 4+ years of professional technical writing experience.
• Knowledge of technical writing principles, plain language, editing, proofreading, information design, and document lifecycle management.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, organization, business process analysis, problem solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to interview subject matter experts and reconcile feedback.
• Ability to tailor content to different audiences.
• Ability to learn software products and document system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal documentation partner across departments.
• Translate policy interpretations, contract requirements, and system functionality into procedures for end users.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop SOPs and training resources.
• Create and maintain workflows, desk guides, job aids, checklists, and reference materials.
• Maintain document inventories, version controls, and archives for controlled docs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
