Job summary

RTX is seeking an intern in Cedar Rapids who will learn avionics system requirements, design documentation, and verification procedures while contributing to certification compliance. The role offers potential to convert to full-time upon graduation and expects travel of less than 10%.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and be prepared to work onsite with multidisciplinary engineering teams at RTX’s Cedar Rapids site.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s in engineering major obtained by start date.

Responsibilities

• Determines full avionics system requirements for avionics systems.
• Develops system design documentation such as interface control definitions, hardware interconnect definitions, and human machine interface documentation
• Develops and executes verification procedures for laboratory testing of avionics
• Ensures compliance to applicable certification regulations
• Ability to travel required, but this would be less than 10% of time.
