Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a highly capable Jr. Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise physical security and surveillance infrastructure in New York.

The role focuses on Pro-Watch access control, Genetec Security Center, and ChangeGear SQL databases, with duties spanning server and VMS support. The candidate will also manage Windows servers, AD, backups, and routine maintenance, while collaborating with cybersecurity, networking, and facilities teams to ensure secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting physical security systems or OT environments preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer Pro-Watch access control servers and hardware.
• Support Genetec Security Center servers and video systems.
• Maintain ChangeGear SQL databases with backup and recovery.
• Manage enterprise IP camera systems, storage, and VMS integration.
• Troubleshoot access control, surveillance, server, and DB issues.
• Coordinate hardware/software upgrades and patching.
