Job summary

CMI Group is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware, and networks in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires hands-on problem solving and strong communication with interdisciplinary teams to keep technology infrastructure running smoothly. The ideal candidate will handle security, backups, and outages, while building internal documentation and training staff on new technologies.

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery; familiar with multiple OS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage user ticket system and respond to requests promptly.
• Install and configure software and hardware; manage network servers.
• Set up accounts/workstations and monitor system performance.
• Troubleshoot issues, ensure security and perform backups and firewall maintenance.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and create IT documentation for staff.
