MEPPI located in Warrendale, PA seeks an Assembly Technician I for 1st shift. You will assemble switchgear frames, perform electrical connections, and prepare products for shipment, using tools and blueprints. Duties include quality checks, documentation, and supporting safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic understanding of computer applications.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and BOMs.
• Safety and operational training to operate forklifts and cranes.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchgear components according to specs and drawings.
• Make basic electrical connections per wiring diagrams.
• Prepare products for shipment and packaging.
• Safely use hand and power tools to assemble components.
• Inspect subassemblies and finished products with test equipment.
• Maintain production documentation and reports.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
• Assist with on-the-job training and other duties.
