Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling to oversee tooling fabrication with external suppliers and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on ensuring engineering specs and quality standards are met, with GD&T and 3D CAD proficiency supporting accurate documentation and effective problem solving.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, program management, and supplier quality, developing statements of work and monitoring performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with 3D CAD software.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• U.S. citizen required.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier tooling fabrication activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, program management, and supplier quality teams.
• Develop supplier statements of work and monitor supplier performance.
• Review supplier deviations, waivers, and nonconformance reports.
• Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate source inspections and verify manufacturing documentation, including CoCs.
• Review tooling documentation and End Item Data Packages.
• Support supplier assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate technical requirements and manufacturing concerns to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing quality and support resolution of production issues.
