Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a supplier quality engineer to join the El Segundo Tooling department on site. You will work with program management, engineering, and supplier management to ensure procurements meet requirements.

The role focuses on defining supplier statements of work, maintaining the approved supplier list, handling waivers/deviations, root-cause analysis, and coordinating source inspections with customers as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related field) required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GD&T and technical documentation/writing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with program management, engineering, and supplier teams to ensure procurements meet requirements.
Define supplier statements of work with contract requirements and policies.
Maintain the approved supplier list and review supplier performance.
Manage waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting through QA processes.
Evaluate non-conformances, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate source inspection with customers as required.
Verify data packages and CoCs before shipment.
Use supplier performance databases and QA tools to document capability.
