Job summary

Themesoft Inc is seeking a contract-based Supplier Quality Mechanical specialist for Muncie, Indiana. The role focuses on supplier evaluations, APQP, risk assessment, and tight control of tooling and fixtures. You will coordinate ECN/FETE implementations and lead testing, validation, and PSW sign-off.

Approx. 12+ months contract with significant travel to supplier locations. Strong background in heavy engineering, forging/casting, sheet metal fabrication, and welding is required.

Qualifications

• Must have exposure to heavy engineering products and related fabrication processes.
• Strong knowledge of material standards and AWS welding norms.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints.
• Experience with GD&T and design for manufacturing concepts is desirable.
• AWS CWI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier evaluations and APQP/PPAP activities.
• Conduct PCPA audits and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Manage tool development, fixture readiness, and tool trails.
• Oversee ECN/FETE implementations and validation testing.
• Drive supplier performance and on-time delivery, with travel 30-40% to supplier sites.
