Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Intermediate for a 12-month, 100% onsite assignment in Buffalo Grove, IL. You will drive supplier-related quality improvements, evaluate new suppliers, and ensure robust acceptance criteria and testing for components.

Responsibilities include leading corrective actions, monitoring supplier performance, and guiding design input on quality and reliability. A BS in engineering with 5–8 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field or Master’s with limited experience.
• 5-8 years of hands-on supplier quality experience required.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Drives improvement and corrective action in supplier quality for sourced components.
• Provides technical support in supplier selection and acceptance criteria.
• Monitors supplier performance and drives corrective actions for yield issues and field failures.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Assesses new suppliers for technical and manufacturing capabilities.
• Approves test protocols and reviews qualification reports for components.
