Abbott Molecular Diagnostics invites a Senior Specialist Quality Assurance (Supplier Quality) to join our Des Plaines, IL team. The role focuses on selecting, approving, and maintaining suppliers, performing supplier quality audits, and driving CAPA and improvement actions to ensure compliance across the division.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage supplier performance metrics, and support initiatives to strengthen regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in quality, compliance or engineering in a regulated environment.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and medical device regulatory requirements.
• Experience with audits and inspections.
• Certified Lead Auditor (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality management improvements across supplier base.
• Conduct supplier quality system assessments and monitor performance.
• Drive supplier corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely documentation and compliance with standards.
• Travel up to 25% domestically to support supplier management.
