Job summary

Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions in Harlingen, TX seeks substitute teachers to provide instruction in the absence of regular teachers, follow lesson plans, and maintain a safe classroom while supporting student engagement. The role is part-time/contract, in-person, with fingerprints and background checks; pay is $110 per day.

Schedule includes 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, and on-call at 6 AM on days available to work.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with students.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexibility to work across different grade levels and subject areas.
• Prior experience in education or childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with staff to support student success.
• Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress.
