Job summary

Kokua Education is seeking substitute teachers for the Rio Grande Valley area in Texas. You set your schedule, work up to 5 days a week, and earn up to $145 per day with weekly pay. Qualifications include 1 year of experience with kids and 48+ college credits; you’ll be evaluated quickly and can move toward permanent roles at high-performing K-12 schools.

We reimburse background checks after 10 assignments and offer support from 6am–8pm daily to help you succeed as a role model in the community.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
• Completed 48+ college credit hours
• Feel confident managing a classroom of students
• Are willing to step in where needed - this could include lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season
• Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments)
• Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
