Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Structural MRB Engineer in Riverside, CA, focusing on composite and metallic aerostructures. You will perform MRB authority, design repairs with Catia, and support manufacturing in a shop environment.

Interface with customers, coordinate with Materials & Process engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement. Travel up to 10% is expected. Onsite role with RTX Collins Aerospace operations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Familiar with PLM and ERP systems such as Teamcenter and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Obtain customer approval for MRB authority through training and evidence of knowledge of materials and structures.
• Design repairs for damaged hardware using Catia to restore aerostructures components.
• Support manufacturing to troubleshoot issues on the floor.
• Interface with customers to communicate repairs and justify decisions.
• Assist senior staff in cross-discipline technical initiatives and process improvements.
