Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a Concrete Project Engineer to support Hoffmann Structures, Inc. (HSI) on a project near Amarillo, TX.

The role reports to the VP of Operations and collaborates with the HSI Project Manager and Superintendent to address complex coordination issues. This position will be based entirely on the project site near Amarillo, TX, with responsibilities spanning interface among area managers, vendors, subcontractors, and design professionals to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in structural concrete and rebar project engineering.
• Bachelor's in civil/structural/construction engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of concrete design, construction techniques, and materials.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings involving area managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Interface between area managers, multiple vendors, and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items.
• Interpret design, construction documents, technical manuals, and quantify materials required for construction.
• Coordinate all structural concrete and rebar elements including embeds supplied by others.
• Review and process submittal information and coordinate between submittals to ensure accuracy.
• Generate, receive, and distribute RFIs.
• Receive and distribute change documents issued by team.
• Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Serve as the onsite technical advisor for field construction.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems within the overall structural concrete project design.
