Job summary

RESPEC, an engineering consulting firm, seeks a Structural BIM Technician for onsite roles in Cheyenne, WY; Denver, CO; Rapid City, SD; and Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time position focuses on drafting and modeling complex structures using BIM/CAD tools, contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.

You will assist in producing plans, elevations, and details, while maintaining BIM libraries and supporting project coordination. Training and growth are emphasized in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree in engineering/architectural drafting.
• Proficiency in BIM and CAD software (Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD).
• Interest in emerging technologies.
• Strong visualization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in collaborative team settings.
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record for business travel.
• Exposure to Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD/CAD/BIM via education or work.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily in Revit and leverage Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu to enhance workflows.
• Model structures (wood, steel, concrete, masonry) and produce plans, elevations, and details.
• Visualize complex structures to ensure coordination across disciplines.
• Curate and maintain BIM/CADD library for easy access to resources.
