Job summary

gobravvo is seeking a Procurement Buyer to support daily purchasing in a manufacturing environment onsite in Byhalia, MS. You will work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement.

The role emphasizes ERP/procure-to-pay systems such as Oracle or Ariba, supplier negotiations, PO generation, and spend analysis, with opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience using ERP and procure-to-pay systems (Oracle, Ariba).
• Strong understanding of purchasing and procurement fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret and apply contract terms.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary purchasing resource for operational teams.
• Review and process purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Generate purchase orders in line with procurement procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in operations, engineering, sales, and service.
• Maintain supplier relationships to ensure smooth purchasing execution.
• Support sourcing for non-contracted goods and services. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract terms.
• Track and manage purchase orders through fulfillment.
• Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
• Resolve supplier and payment issues.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews.
• Assist with special projects and reporting as needed.
