Job summary

kdc/one is seeking a Purchasing Buyer to join our Groveport, OH site. This onsite role supports production, manages supplier relationships, and drives cost control to keep materials flowing.

You will review requirements, place orders, use SAP/ERP and MRP, and collaborate with Quality, Finance, and Operations to resolve issues. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in buying and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Buyer/Purchasing role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering; manufacturing experience considered.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and services to support production.
• Review material requirements and use MRP to plan purchasing.
• Negotiate and manage vendor costs while meeting site needs.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor cost, quality, and service.
• Place purchase orders and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and supplier capacity.
• Review purchasing documentation and invoices.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
