Responsibilities

• Source selection and procurement functions for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and select production materials and services.
• Plans inventory and product-related purchases and delivery schedules to meet demand and minimize costs.
• Ensures suppliers meet delivery dates and adjusts shipping schedules accordingly.
• Manages supplier base, anticipates issues affecting sales demand, and mitigates long lead times and credit limits.
• Negotiates best pricing, places purchase orders, and resolves billing and shipping problems; assists engineering with prototyping purchases.
