Job summary

Aston Carter seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract position in Baltimore, MD. You will manage financial documentation, code card transactions, and support accurate reporting in a fast-paced office environment.

You will handle checks, deposits, accounts receivable reconciliations, and journal entries, contributing to monthly close and financial integrity. Onsite work is required with moderate-to-high transaction volumes and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Ability to handle high transaction volumes.
• Understanding of journal entries and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Compile and organize supporting documentation for corporate credit cards and ~2,000 transactions per month.
• Review and code corporate card transactions to the appropriate GL and cost center.
• Deposit checks and maintain records of deposits and reimbursements.
• Log checks in internal cash management system for accurate cash reporting.
• Track and reconcile private equity fund receivables with Fund Administration for reimbursements.
• Assist with recording cash transactions and AR reconciliations.
• Prepare lower risk journal entries.
