Job summary

CyberPoint International is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support a cloud-based analytics platform built on Java, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo. You will ensure availability, performance, and reliability while working across Linux environments and open-source technologies.

The role requires on-call duties, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with developers and cloud engineers in a fast-paced security-focused environment in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is required.
• 14 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desired; may be combined with experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher certification is required.
• Strong experience troubleshooting and supporting Linux-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations, stability, availability, and performance of a cloud-based platform.
• Provide Tier 1–3 operational and technical support.
• Monitor production environments and respond to operational issues and customer requests.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within Linux-based environments.
• Support cloud infrastructure and applications built using Java and open-source technologies.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo environments.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or similar.
• Support containerized applications and infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor systems using observability and monitoring technologies.
• Collaborate with developers, system admins, cloud engineers, and other teams.
• Document troubleshooting procedures, processes, issues, and resolutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
