KellyMitchell is seeking an experienced SQL Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases and data solutions. You will work closely with software engineers and data scientists on data pipelines, reporting, and analytics.

The role emphasizes T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design to ensure reliable, accessible data for BI and analytics. Onsite, full-time in Saint Peters, MO.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a SQL Server Data Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience creating, managing, and monitoring data pipelines using ETL/ELT.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, and T-SQL.
• Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and optimizing stored procedures.
• Deep understanding of database design, normalization, and relational database concepts.
• Good understanding of SQL Server Database Engine internals, including buffer pool, parallelism, execution plans, and indexing.
• Strong experience troubleshooting database issues and optimizing slow-running queries.
• Ability to work onsite in St. Peters, MO, five days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Design new databases, enhance existing databases, and develop complex SQL queries and T-SQL stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot database issues, investigate tickets, find root causes, document findings, and implement effective solutions.
• Optimize slow-running queries through rewriting, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Apply database design principles and best practices to build reliable data solutions.
• Analyze SQL Server internals to improve performance, including buffers and parallelism.
• Design and monitor data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to improve data flow for reporting.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into database changes.
