Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a school-based setting in Millbrae, CA. The role focuses on individualized instruction per IEPs, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities include direct instruction, IEP development, progress documentation, and family communication to support student success in a least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• State Special Education Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement is required.
• Cross-Categorical Special Education Certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school-based environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction aligned with student IEPs and state educational standards.
• Conduct academic evaluations and develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records regarding student progress and services provided.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, goals, and educational programming.
• Create and maintain an engaging and supportive classroom learning environment.
• Provide guidance and oversight to instructional assistants and support staff.
• Participate in trainings, department meetings, IEP meetings, and additional duties as assigned.
• Support behavioral interventions, accommodations, and instructional strategies for diverse student needs.
