Job summary

Bucks County Intermediate Unit is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher to provide academic, community, and social instruction aligned with Commonwealth of PA requirements. This on-site role involves in-home and virtual delivery, planning curricula, and developing IEPs for students in the IU programs.

You will convene IEP meetings, maintain classroom technology, and collect progress data while coordinating with parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree beneficial.
• PA Special Education Certification required.
• PA K-12 Regular Education Certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams, parents and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, community and social instruction to support students in intermediate unit programs.
• Plan curriculum, prepare lessons and instructional materials for in-home and virtual delivery.
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs and convene required IEP evaluation meetings.
• Maintain classroom technology, collect data on IEP goals, and report per district schedule.
• Attend on-site, full-time schedule with regular attendance and team collaboration.
