Job summary

Strata Clean Energy seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale solar projects. You will set schedules, manage sub-contractors, and ensure on-site safety and design compliance across VA/SC/NC sites.

On-site role requires coordinating with engineering, procurement, and field teams, with travel up to 95% per project policy. Strong leadership and civil/electrical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct construction management experience in utility work or heavy construction projects.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification preferred.
• Must have a valid current driver license and ability to pass driving requirements.
• Knowledge of state rules and environmental requirements (BMP's and SWPPP).

Responsibilities

• Sets up initial layout and site infrastructure services to include water, power, internet and office trailers and required facilities.
• Schedules and ensures appropriate staffing for daily construction activities with employees and sub-contractors.
• Coordinates schedules with the construction department, engineering department, and purchasing department.
• Ensures the safety of each employee, vendor, sub-contractor and temporary labor employees.
• Supports the PM and APM for required management coverage.
• Creates and implements daily work plans.
• Ensures construction disciplines are coordinating daily functions to minimize schedule delays.
• Identifies potential schedule changes, workflow and staffing issues.
• Performs site investigations for potential future construction site locations.
• Identifies potential employee relations issues.
• Recommends and evaluates sub-contractors for use on project.
• Manages and develops a viable long-term relationship with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors.

Skills

10+ years construction mgmt experience

OSHA 10/30 certification

Valid driver license
