Job summary

SpaceX in Port Saint Lucie, FL seeks a Security Engineer (Software) to join Information Security and protect mission-critical systems. You will design, build, and run security software and infrastructure to guard confidentiality, integrity, and availability across the enterprise.

The role requires hands-on development across Python, Go, C/C++, or Rust, and experience with OS/security solutions, PKI, SAML/OIDC, OAuth, TPMs, and REST APIs. Onsite work only, with extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM discipline or 2+ years of security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain technology that protects company systems, networks, and data.
• Stand up authentication and identity services, MFA, and network access control identity.
• Automate identity lifecycle for Information Security and partner organizations.
• Run backend infrastructure that network security services depend on.
• Operate web application firewalls and other application-level security controls.
• Enforce cloud security policy, centralized configuration, and monitoring.
• Document what you run, keep it working, and advise other teams on it.
• Find threats and gaps with security and IT, then deploy changes to reduce risk.
• Deliver scalable, repeatable, maintainable, secure solutions.
• Coordinate with information security, physical security, IT, HR, legal, software, and other partners.
