Job summary

Dirac, Inc. is looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work in their New York City office. The successful candidate will build integrations between BuildOS and customer systems, address significant blockers to customer adoption, and deliver deployment-critical features. Ideal candidates will have strong full-stack development skills, familiarity with complex systems, and a proactive attitude. The position includes travel and offers a competitive salary range from $120,000 to $150,000 plus equity with additional benefits like health coverage and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to write production-quality code in modern programming languages.
• Experience working in complex systems and codebases.
• Ability to quickly understand and debug unfamiliar systems.

Responsibilities

• Build integrations between BuildOS and customer systems.
• Identify and fix high-impact issues blocking customer adoption.
• Ship deployment-critical features with speed and quality.
• Review code and help reduce PR backlog across the engineering team.

Skills

Full-stack software engineering fundamentals

Modern languages (e.g. React, TypeScript, Go)

Communications skills (technical and customer-facing)

APIs, integrations, and distributed systems

Familiarity with CAD / PLM / ERP ecosystems

Experience in high-growth startup environments
