Job summary

Akira Technologies Inc. is seeking an Intermediate SOC Analyst to support USARC operations at Fort Bragg, NC. The role includes real-time security monitoring, incident triage, and initial investigation within a 24/7 environment.

The candidate will review SIEM alerts, coordinate with Tier 2, and document incidents in accordance with CJCSM 6510.01B procedures while maintaining mission-focused confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have DoD 8140.03 qualification for DCWF Work Role 511, Cyber Defense Analyst, Intermediate.
• Active Secret clearance minimum; TS/SCI where required by role.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, host-based security solutions, and basic network traffic analysis.
• Experience in security-event monitoring, alert triage, incident documentation, or related SOC activities.
• Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01B incident categories and standard incident-response procedures.
• Ability to analyze and correlate data from multiple security sources.
• Ability to follow SOPs, playbooks, escalation procedures, and incident-response processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous monitoring of SIEM alerts, sensor events, host detections, and other security telemetry.
• Perform initial event triage, determine relevance and severity, create incident tickets, and classify incidents.
• Execute Tier 1 incident-response actions per SOPs and escalate to Tier 2 as needed.
• Perform Tier 2 multi-source correlation across SIEM/EDR/NetFlow/PCAP and other telemetry.
• Analyze data to identify suspicious or malicious activity and recommend containment actions.
• Maintain incident records through closure with accurate documentation in ARCYBER portals.
• Support development of playbooks, scripts, and analyst reference materials.
