Job summary

Phoenix Cyber is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the client delivery team. The position is onsite at the client location in Chandler, AZ with shift work and some overnight hours.

Responsibilities include monitoring network traffic and security events, developing SOC SOPs, and supporting daily/monthly reports. The ideal candidate will have security experience, incident response expertise, and an active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Two years of security experience
• Experience in handling incident response
• CEH certification or CompTIA CySA+ AND within 6 months CSSP Analyst, Infrastructure Support, or IR from the DOD 8570 list
• Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events and logs; differentiate intrusions from false alarms.
• Develop, maintain, and follow SOC SOPs.
• Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
• Review large data sets for anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS and SIEM and advise on proactive blocks.
• Create and track security investigations to resolution.
• Compose security alert notifications and other communications.
• Advise incident responders on steps to investigate and resolve incidents.
• Stay up to date with vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
• Must work a shift schedule.
• Multitask and stay focused under pressure.
