Job summary

Phoenix Cyber is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support onsite SOC operations at a client location in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on monitoring, detection, investigation, and incident response in a shift-work environment, with U.S.

citizenship and an active Secret Clearance. The Analyst will monitor network traffic, improve SOC SOPs, assist investigations from detection to resolution, and develop detective content for security monitoring tools while advising incident responders on steps

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of security experience.
• Experience handling incident response.
• CEH or CySA+ certification.
• Within 6 months of hire, hold DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst/Infrastructure/IR lists certification.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events, and logs; prioritize intrusion attempts from false alarms.
• Develop, maintain, and follow SOC SOPs.
• Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
• Review large data sets to identify anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS/SIEM and advise on proactive blocks.
• Track security investigations through to resolution.
• Compose security alert notifications and related communications.
• Advise incident responders on investigation steps.
• Stay current on vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
• Maintain ability to work a shift schedule and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
