Job summary

Gabletek Robotics and Controls Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their fast-paced team at Tesla’s Fremont, California facility. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of automation solutions, including programming and debugging Siemens PLCs, designing HMI interfaces, and collaborating with mechanical engineers. A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

The position requires strong PLC programming skills and is responsible for overseeing electrical designs, ensuring machines meet performance specifications, and working closely with suppliers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs and control systems.
• Strong PLC programming skills (Siemens required).
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms like WinCC and Ignition.
• Comfortable with automation hardware like sensors and drives.
• Solid understanding of industrial networking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Programming and debugging structured text and ladder logic.
• Building complex machine sequences for automation tasks.
• Designing touchscreen HMIs and SCADA dashboards.
• Overseeing electrical cabinets, field wiring, and pneumatics.
• Running test cycles to ensure machines meet performance requirements.
