Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH in Gaithersburg, MD, seeks a SHE Response and Technology Manager to oversee SHE platform administration, incident data quality, and technology-enabled improvements across COO sites with a focus on Gaithersburg.

You will coordinate governance, ensure audit-ready documentation, and collaborate with site leaders, enterprise SHE, IT, and vendors to turn business needs into reliable tools and processes. On-site role with 24-7 on-call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, business, communications, information management, technology, project management, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting SHE, EHS, laboratory, manufacturing, operations, quality, compliance, technology, or another regulated corporate environment.
• Project management experience across multiple workstreams with timelines and stakeholders.
• Strong digital capability including Microsoft 365 and platforms like SharePoint, Workvivo, Veeva Vault, AZ SHE systems, Enablon, Adobe tools.
• Ability to ensure data integrity, reporting, governance, access management, and platform adoption.
• Strong written communication, presentations, and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the multi-site roadmap for SHE digital platforms (SharePoint, Workvivo, Veeva Vault, AZ SHE systems).
• Establish governance, KPIs for content lifecycle, metadata, search, archival, usability, and audit readiness.
• Serve as a site-facing SHE systems administrator supporting data quality and reporting.
• Lead or support SHE help desk and Training & Technology channels with service expectations and knowledge articles.
• Partner with enterprise SHE, IT, vendors, and SMEs to assess needs and manage upgrades.
