Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an on-site technical support specialist to maintain and troubleshoot Formova AGV systems located in Flint, MI. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and hands-on support for start-ups and new installations.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing full-time on-site technical support for a Formova AGV System located in Flint, MI. This support will include AGV and AGV System troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance of the AGV fleet and resolving issues with AGV hardware and overall system functionality.

On a given day, you may:

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance services as well as on-call maintenance for the fleet of JBT AGVs currently in operation
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and vehicle/system related issues
• Assist in upgrades/retrofits requiring vehicle modifications
• Assist with AGV component repairs when/if necessary
• Monitor and maintain on-site parts inventory and parts orders
• Provide AGV systems operations support for new / modified systems and start-ups
• Work closely with Customer AGV Leads as it relates to training, troubleshooting, and meetings as needed.
• Provide on call support for critical business impacting outages

The incumbent must stay current with the latest designs, features and equipment that Formova offers. The organization’s matrix environment requires tact, diplomacy and strong prioritization skills to accomplish the numerous, often conflicting, daily support requirements.

The incumbent needs to be able to respond to emergency situations which may require schedule changes/adjustments based on the customer’s needs

Candidate must live in or near the Flint, MI area. Most work will be performed at a customer site located in Flint, MI.
