Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an on-site AGV System Technician to support a Formova AGV system in Flint, MI. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the AGV fleet, ensuring system reliability and performance on customer sites.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, on-call support, and collaboration with customer leads to address outages and upgrades while staying current with Formova offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of AGV systems and fleet operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for vehicle and system components.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and on-call service.
• Inventory management and on-site parts coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on JBT AGV fleet and on-call maintenance as needed.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and system issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with upgrades or retrofits requiring vehicle modifications.
• Support AGV components repairs and on-site system start-ups.
• Monitor on-site parts inventory and coordinate parts orders.

This position is responsible for providing full-time on-site technical support for a Formova AGV System located in Flint, MI. This support will include AGV and AGV System troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance of the AGV fleet and resolving issues with AGV hardware and overall system functionality.

On a given day, you may:

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance services as well as on-call maintenance for the fleet of JBT AGVs currently in operation
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and vehicle/system related issues
• Assist in upgrades/retrofits requiring vehicle modifications
• Assist with AGV component repairs when/if necessary
• Monitor and maintain on-site parts inventory and parts orders
• Provide AGV systems operations support for new / modified systems and start-ups
• Work closely with Customer AGV Leads as it relates to training, troubleshooting, and meetings as needed.
• Provide on call support for critical business impacting outages

The incumbent must stay current with the latest designs, features and equipment that Formova offers. The organization's matrix environment requires tact, diplomacy and strong prioritization skills to accomplish the numerous, often conflicting, daily support requirements. The incumbent needs to be able to respond to emergency situations which may require schedule changes/adjustments based on the customer's needs.

Candidate must live in or near the Flint, MI area. Most work will be performed at a customer site located in Flint, MI.
